Product details

Kaaliya was a many-hooded serpent dreaded by all who lived on the banks of Ramanaka Dwipa. He was driven away from there by Garuda, the mount of Vishnu and decided to make the banks of Yamuna his new home, the same banks where Krishna used to play with his friends.

One day Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu, was playing on the banks when the ball rolled into the river and Krishna went into the water unhesitatingly. Under water, the snake tried to crush Krishna by coiling around him but Krishna escaped effortlessly. Krishna dragged the snake onto the surface of the river, jumped on one of its heads, and started performing his cosmic dance. He had assumed the weight of the entire universe in his tiny feet and almost crushed the naga to death.

These clay dolls are made by rural artisans from Tamil Nadu. The doll set can add to your home decor and also be a part of the Dasara Gombe Habba/ Navaratri Golu / Bommala Koluvu Display.
