Navakankai is also known as the nine man’s Morris or Mills in the West. This is an alignment game played by 2 players. Each player gets 9 nine pawns. Detailed instructions provided.

The Channapatna craftspeople make the player pawns using lac-turned, organic-colored pawns. Eighteen pawns ( 9 in each color) are provided for a maximum of two players in this game.

The mat measures 15 inches square and is hand-printed and hand-tailored to perfection. It is made by rural women artisans from the Guledagudda region using Khun fabric (hand-spun cotton ).
